I really didn’t want to say anything about today as I don’t think it contributes anything to dispelling the myth that today is any different from any other day.
However, listening to the radio on the way home they were talking about today and some guy rang in to say he received the news that he had cancer on Friday the 13th and that he should’ve made the appointment another day. Its not clear to me why it would have made a difference. I find it such an odd concept that anyone would think that an arbitrary day in an arbitrary calendar as our Earth spins around the sun has more significance than any other.
I mean really, thousands of people must be told every day that they have cancer, he just happen to be told on a day that some twats thought was unlucky.
It’s time as a society that we got over this notion of good luck/bad luck, of superstitions. Leave it alone, ignore it, pay it no heed, its all a bunch of crap and has no room in our modern world.
Don’t you try touching any wood…..I’m watching.
