Modern medicine has made life too damn easy 🙂

I guess parents have a twisted view of reality. The reason there is less incidents of a whole range of diseases is because people have been immunised. They’re piggy backing off those who have gone before, that’s pretty damn arrogant if you ask me.

I mean, you have schools going wholly ‘nut free’ (which makes me wonder, what do these kids do when they get older and still have the allergy in the nut-covered wider world?) so perhaps if a bad enough bug comes along, that there’ll be an inverse exclusion and unimmunised kids will be excluded from in person attending.

Well.. that’s probably a little extreme.. but during a pandemic where a tested vaccine has been released, I can potentially see it happening.

I guess I’m definitely biased t’ward the pro-immunisation side of things being the son of two medical folk. As kids my folks were on the front line in the town and we generally got what was goin’ around pretty quick 🙂 .. Upside I guess is my immune system’s probably doin’ pretty darn well heh.
